FranchiseDisclosures.com and its affiliates have been a reliable resource for the franchising industry for over 25 years. In addition to publishing several annual books on franchising, we also maintain various websites that deal specifically with franchising.
There are 15 states (California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin) that require franchisors to submit updated FDDs each year for the state’s review. Once approved by the various states, franchisors are then allowed to actively sell their franchise in that state for the following 12-month period. These states are the primary source of the FDDs that are listed on FranchiseDisclosures.com. The database currently includes over 30,000 current and archived FDDs and UFOCs. All of the FDDs and/or UFOCs available on the site are “clean” copies, as opposed to “red-lined” versions that are frequently sent to the states so that they can compare changes between years.
In addition to making the entire FDDs available to interested parties, we also use the information within the FDDs to update our extensive Franchisor Database (www.FranchisorDatabase.com). The database includes over 3,000 active North American franchisors, over 25 fields of data, and over 13,000 senior executives (with titles) within those firms. Depending upon the depth of the information required, we “rent” the database for $1,000 or $2,000, with unlimited usage permitted. If the franchising community represents a significant market for your business, please click www.franchisordatabase.com here to find out more about the database.
